Tae Kwon Do

(5-12 years - All Belts) (5-12 years - Advanced Belts - Purple and up  on Wednesday; Yellow and up on Sunday

In partnership with Black Belt World, this program will focus on conditioning of the body with emphasis on flexibility which enables the student to learn and develop the Tae Kwon Do fighting system. The student will learn hand and foot techniques along with patterns, self defense and basic sparring. All levels welcome.

The weekly lessons and access to the program is included in a membership. Uniforms, examinations and testing is an additional fee. Please contact our membership desk for additional information.

Wednesday 5:45 - 6:30pm (All Belts) and 6:30pm - 7:15pm (Advanced Belts)

Sunday 11:15am - 12:00pm (All Belts) and 12:00pm - 12:45pm (Advanced Belts)

Led by instructors from Kitchener-Waterloo Ki Aikido, students will learn confidence, coordination, and inner calmness in Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido, a Japanese martial art that promotes the peaceful resolution to conflict.

Students will practice safe rolling and falling, learn to coordinate mind and body while moving and standing, and will learn to remain calm while using the least amount of force to protect themselves from injury. Students will play games designed to train balance and develop positive and confident responses to pressure.

 A judo or karate-style gi uniform is encouraged but not required. Students should wear clothing that is comfortable for exercise.

Friday 7:15 - 8:00pm

Family Aikido

(Requires parent or caregiver Participation)

Aikido is a defensive martial art that develops self-confidennce, coordination, and focus. Students will practice individually and in pairs to learn how to fall safety and techniques that teach cooperation and spatial awareness.

Friday 6:45 - 7:15pm 


Karate Do

In this program your children will learn fundamentals of Shito Ryu Karate-Do.  The program is structured in the tradition of Karate-Do, which focuses on form and discipline, and of course fun!   More information about Karate can be found on thier website:
