Specialized Programs

Wellness Walking Group-Keeping you healthy and moving (18+years)

Mondays: 12:00 -1:00 pm *Meet on the track

Just 10 minutes of walking can make you feel good; reduce your blood pressure and help with or reduce your risk of other chronic healthy conditions. Wellness participants or graduates looking to build exercise into your day while connecting with new people, friends and volunteers should come out and give the group a try. 

 

Triathlon Group (18+ years)

Progressive triathlon training, geared towards both beginner and experienced participants--swim, bike and run at the YMCA!

Sunday- 5:00-7:30pm -Conditioning and Swim

*Participants should be able to swim 100 meters of front crawl without stopping.

Tuesday- 6:15-7:30pm-  Run and Core

*Participants should be able to run 2kms without stopping. 

Saturday- 7:00-8:45am- Cycle

Winter: January 12th- March 15th 

Spring: March 29th- May 31st  

Monthly Mini-Triathlon/Brick:

Starting in 2020, we have a monthly indoor mini-triathlon on Saturday mornings to prepare for the summer racing season.  All events are time-based to all club members together.

Mini-triathlon schedule: February 1st, March 7th, April 4th, May 4th, 2020

 Member Fee: $30.00

Non-Member Fee: $50.00

Adult Master Swim Team (18+ years)

For adults who enjoy swimming and want to work on improving their swimming technique through regular practice sessions with qualified experienced coaches. Beginners are welcome. Participants should be able to swim 100 meters of front craw without stopping.

Sunday 6:05 - 7:30pm

Fall: October 20th- December 15th 

Winter: January 12th- March 15th 

Spring: March 29th- May 31st  

 

Member Fee: $30.00

Non-Member Fee: $50.00

Triathlon and Intermediate Run Group(18+ years)

Tuesday`s  6:15-7:10pm 

Meet in Stork lobby! 

Included in a YMCA membership, no registration required.

*Participants should be able to run 2km without stopping. 

 

Monday Night Run Group (18+ years)

Join our run group Monday  nights at the Stork Family YMCA. This group is open to runners of all levels--those learning to run, as well as experienced runners working on speed, form, and endurance. Coaches will ensure everyone's needs are met. 

Monday`s 6:30-8:00pm

Meet in the Stork lobby!

Included in a YMCA membership, no registration required.
